My husband's favorite cake is Marble so I thought I could make one from scratch. Instead of the cake mix kind. I looked everywhere online and found that different sights had this same recipe. Make your marble cake using a purchased cake mix.
Steps to make Marble cake:
- Sieve and mix all the dry ingredients together except cocoa powder
- Now in a mixing bowl take all the wet ingredients, whisk nicely with an electric whisker or manually,
- Add whisked wet ingredients to dry ingredients, fold gently, now take half portion of this batter in to a separate bowl,
- Add 3 tbsp cocoa powder into it fold again, make sure that the batter should be thick,
- Grease the cake tin, pour in the plain cake batter one ladle, on top of that pour in, the cocoa powder mixed batter one ladle, repeat the process.
- Bake the cake in preheated oven on 180 degree celcius for about 40 minutes and check whether it's done by tooth pick,when it's done,
- Cool the cake completely, decorate the cake according to your taste, I decorated with chocolate ganache and some caramelized nuts.Now your marble cake is ready to serve.
You can bake a round layered cake or a large single layered cake. Then frost the moist marble cake with your favorite frosting or ganache. This homemade Marble Cake is so moist and and buttery.
