  8. Unroll the cake and spread it with warm jam.
  9. Immediately roll up as tight as possible without the paper and leave it cool completely then cut it info circular shapes.

Roll the cake up gently (leaving the parchment paper behind), then place on a wire rack. How to Assemble Swiss Roll Cake. The cake cools in the rolled up shape. It can cool at room temperature or in the refrigerator. Once completely cool, unroll the chocolate cake and fill with homemade whipped cream.
