- Add the tomato paste.
- Stir together
- Add the sugar, sweet paprika and cumin.
- Add the water and stir together.
- Add salt as needed with a dash of black pepper.
- Bring to a boil and then turn down the burner to a minimum for 20 minutes with the lid on.
- In the meantime prepare the meatballs.
- In a big bowl, mix together the meatball ingredients. You can use a spoon or your clean hands.
- Make small balls the size of a golf ball.
- Wet your hands now and then so that the meat doesn't stick to them.
- Once the sauce has been on the low burner for 20 min. you can add the meatballs.
- Make sure to cover them with the sauce and put the lid back on.
- Keep it on a low burner for another 1hour and 20 minutes.
