I asked the recipe of pineapple rasam from my friend's mom and i slightly altered it according to my Heat oil in a small pan and throw in the mustard seeds and when it splutters transfer it to the rasam.

- Heat a vessel, add 3cups of water, mashed dal,chopped tomatoes, turmeric powder, green chillies, few curry leaves, rasam powder and bring to a boil. Boil for 10 minutes.

- Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds , crushed garlic, curry leaves anf fry for few seconds.
