The ingredients needed to make Meatballs:
  1. Prepare 1 lb lean ground beef
  2. Get 1 lb mild Italian sausage
  3. Take 4 cloves garlic
  4. Get 3 shallots
  5. Get 1 bundle green onions

  7. Make ready 1/2 zuchinni
  8. Prepare 1 egg
  9. Prepare 1 cup panko bread crumbs

Add meatballs to your favorite sauce and simmer for one hour. (I usually use my Grandmother's sauce recipe, since this was her meatball recipe. In a large mixing bowl, stir together the panko and milk until combined. Add the ground beef, ground pork, garlic, eggs, Parmesan, fresh herbs, onion and Worcestershire sauce to the mixing bowl. These plant-based meatballs with spinach, nutritional yeast, and vegan bread crumbs deliver lots of flavor.

Steps to make Meatballs:
  1. Place meat mixture in large bowl and add egg and bread crumbs
  2. Finely chop garlic, shallots, green onion, mushrooms and zucchini and add to meat mixture
  3. Add 1/4 teaspoon of salt and sugar and fresh pepper and mix well with hands
  4. Form meat mixture into 1 1/2" balls and place on pan
  5. Preheat oven to 400 deg Fahrenheit
  6. Spray a bit of oil on meatballs and place in oven
  7. Cook for 25-30min
  8. Simmer meatballs in pan with tomato sauce and serve with spaghetti

We like more of a crunchy, dry meatball so these are baked in the oven without sauce but they can be simmered on the stovetop in marinara sauce, as well. Roll meatballs to about the size of a golf ball. (wet your hands to prevent the meat from sticking to them while rolling the meat balls).
