- After an hour, drain the moong dal set aside.
- Take a non-stick pan add 1 tsp of olive oil (or regular oil), a pinch of asafoetida (hing), mustard seeds, let them splutter.
- Then add finely chopped green chili, and the drained moon dal, sauté for 2 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let it cool, once cooled add the dal to the carrots, cucumber mixture.
- Adjust the seasoning as per taste with salt and lime juice.
