- Drain the water from the soaked channa & put them in a cooker.In a muslin cloth, put 1 tsp tea leaves, cinnamon stick, cardamoms & cloves. Make a knot & tie them tightly.
- Put it in the cooker with channas.Add enough water which can cover the channas.Add soda.
- Cover the cooker with lid & give 5 -6 whistles. Switch off the gas & let it cool down.Now Steain the water through the stainer & keep it aside.
- In a masala grinder,add pomegranate seeds,cumin seeds,rock salt & kasuri methi. Grind it for 2 -3 times.
- Add red degi mirch,turmeric powder,garam masala & coriander powder. Again grind it.
- Heat oil in a non stick pan.Add grinded onions & ginger garlic paste. Cook till they become translucent.
- Now add grinded tomatoes & 1 tsp salt.Cover with lid.
- Cook till oil spreads from corners & add 1 tsp of homemade masala Cover with lid again.
- Cook till masala mix with onion tomato masala.Now add boiled channas & the rest of the water.
- Mix well & cover with lid.Cook till water absorbs.
- Heat pure ghee in a pan & add split garlic cloves & green chillies.cook till they become golden brown.
- Pour this tadka on the cooked channas.
- Serve hot with tandoori aloo naan & butter.
