And coat the top with whipped cream, and decorate with fruits as desired. (It is even better for the sponge to sit in fridge over night before whipped cream and fruits are added on.)
Spoon some of the strawberries with their juice onto each shortcake bottom. Top with a generous dollop of whipped cream and then the shortcake top.
