I'm so glad you liked them and that they even rival your mother's is a huge compliment! I followed cinnamon-roll recipes from famous chefs Alton Brown, Ree Drummond, and Sandra Lee to see which star has the best one. I had to make it twice because of a faulty ingredient from my pantry, but Alton Brown's recipe was pretty tasty despite the clumpy icing. Cinnamon rolls elicit oohs and aahs from one smell alone, but one bite into these pillowy pastries is akin to taking in a heavenly scene for the first time: it's almost overwhelming.
