  1. Make ready 1 1/2 cups black masoor(Lentil), washed
  2. Prepare 2 Green chillies, deseeded, chopped
  3. Prepare 1 tbsp Green coriander, chopped

  5. Take to taste Saltand red chilli powder
  6. Take 1/2 tsp Chaat masala
  7. Prepare 1 tsp maida /all purpose flour
  8. Make ready 2 tbsp Cornflour
  9. Get 1/2 tsp coarsely ground garam masala
  10. Get as needed Vegetable oil for frying
  11. Make ready 1/2 cup To garnish and serve with finely chopped and sauted vegetables and salad of choice

Instructions to make Masoor wada:
  1. Boil the lentil in water till soft. Drain the excess water and mash the lentil well with a wooden spoon.
  2. To the mashed lentil, add green chillies, green coriander, ginger, salt, red chilli powder, chaat masala, cornflour,maida and garam masala. Mix well. Divide and shape the mixture equally into 3-5 wadas.(according your choice of size)
  3. Heat the oil in a pan (karhai); deep-fry the masoor wadas until light brown. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain the excess oil on absorbent paper.
  4. Garnish with finely chopped vegetables(sauteed) and salad.
