- Prepare 1 cup idli thick batter
- Take 1/2 cup icing sugar
- Prepare 4 tbsp desiccated coconut
- Make ready as needed oil/butter/ghee

Instructions to make Sweet appam:
- Mix icing sugar,desiccated coconut in the idli batter and miz well
- Make sure the batter should not be flowing as of dosa batter
- In an appam patra add 5 to 6 drops of oil/butter/ghee as of what you desire in each mould
- Add one spoon of batter in each mould
- Let it fry for 2 min on medium flame
- Turn it appam upside down when you find a brown/golden coating on the corners
- Let the other side fry for another 2 mins
- Remove on a serving plate
- You can just have it….cz it dont require any dip
Sweet appam is best opted by people who need fast and easy snack because they have chronic lateness or people who like to feel like they're eating dessert all the time. Sweet appam is basically a traditional South Indian sweet dish made as naivedyam during Vinayaka Chavathi ,Krishna Janmashtami and Karthika deepawali. They give a nice mouthfeel to the mini sweet appams. Sweet Godhumai Appam/Wheat Appam - made with wheat flour, jaggery, banana and few more ingredients. It can be made during karthigai deepam festival.
