Transfer the mixture, in a deep bowl add the coconut and cardamom powder, mix well.

Instructions to make Unni Appam:
  1. Soak Raw Rice for 2-4hours. Drain it well and grind it well adding baking powder and Bananas. The mix should have same consistency as Dosa Batter. When it becomes paste, add jaggery and grind again.
  2. Fry Coconut Pieces in ghee till its golden brown. Add the pieces and elaichi powder into the rice jaggery mixture.
  3. Heat appam pan in a vessel containing oil. Oil should fill half of the appam pan.
  4. Once the oil is hot, add small portions of batter into the appam pan. Turn over and cook till its golden brown.
  5. Serve hot.
