  9. Mix this tadka in batter.
  10. Add baking soda in batter and mix well.
  11. Grease appam pan with oil.
  12. Pour 1 teaspoon batter in each mould.
  13. Cover the lid and cook on low flame for 3-4 minutes and then turn the appam.
  14. Now cook from other side for 3-4 minutes on low flame.
  15. Serve hot with green chutney and tomato sauce.
