- Get 9 . Red chilli powder - 1/4 tspn
- Take 10 . Turmeric powder - 1/4 tspn
- Prepare 11 . Ginger - garlic paste - 1 tbspn
- Prepare 12 . Salt as per taste
- Get 13 . Oil and 1 tspn chopped garlic for frying squid
- Take 14 . Some curry leaves
Remove toothpick from squid and serve whole or sliced, alone or with pasta. Once the sauce boils, place the calamari in the sauce cover the pot. Bake uncovered until the cheese is browned and sauce is bubbly. While the calamari is baking, Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil.
Instructions to make Stuffed squid:
- Clean and cut squid into small pieces and boil it by adding some water, salt and turmeric powder
- MARINATION :Combine red chilli paste, garlic, ginger, lemon juice and salt. Add squid and marinate it for few minutes.
- FOR STUFFING: Grind grated coconut, Greenchilli and small onion together. Keep aside.
- Heat 2tbsp oil in a pan, add cumin seeds and chopped onions and saute well.
- Add ginger garlic paste and saute well.
- Add tomato and mix well. Cook for a minutes.
- Add red chilli powder and turmeric powder and mix well, till raw smell disappears.
- Add some chopped curry leaves and boiled squid pieces into it and combine well.
- Add grinded coconut mixture and salt as per your taste. Combine and cook for 5 minutes. Stuffing / Squid thoran is ready.
- Stuff the squid thoran inside the marinated squid. Heat a pan, add some oil (Add 1 or 2 tbspn oil) and sprinkle some chopped garlic.
- Fry the stuffed squid for about 7 minutes. After that make slits on the squid and serve it hot. Garnish with any sauce of your choice.
- NOTE : - - Do not over cook the squid, as the meat become rubbery.
