To begin with this particular recipe, we have to prepare a few ingredients. You can have mexican rice using 8 ingredients and 8 steps. Here is how you cook it.
The ingredients needed to make Mexican Rice:
- Take 1 box rice (as many as you may need)
- Make ready 1 Knorr (tomato Bouillon with Chicken Flavor)
- Take 1 dash Ground Cumin
- Make ready 1 dash Garlic Powder
- Get Water
- Prepare 1 can Mixed Vegetables (I used Hill Country Fare)
- Take 1/8 slice onion (or chopped) (optional)
- Prepare 3 tbsp Vegetable Oil (or as needed) (can use any oil i guess)
Instructions to make Mexican Rice:
- On a pan (The one u usually use to make rice) add the vegetable oil let it heat a lil (not too much)
- Add rice and fry it till its light gold/brown.
- Add onions (if using them) let it brown a lil more (make sure its not turning black lol)
- Add water
- Add Knorr since i do this often im not sure how many tbs u need ______ for this time i used 2 1/2 plastic spoons of knorr but it depends how much rice u are cooking (this is the one i use)
- Let it boil a lil bit add garlic and cumin (to taste)
- Add the can of veggies
- Let the rice cook (make sure u taste it just to make sure u dont need more knorr) then done ( if u like it dry let the water go but if not then add water to your desired consistensy!) _________U CAN ACCOMPANY WITH SOME ENCHILADAS π Delicious!! π
