- Make ready 2 cups rice
- Prepare 1 cup split chickpea
- Take 1 cup tuvar daal

- Prepare 1/4 cup chopped coriander
- Prepare 1/2 cup grated coconut

Steps to make Vada Adai:
- In a bowl, take rice, chickpea dal, tuwar dal and rinse properly. Now add red chillies, curry leaves, asafoetida and soak for 5-7 hours. Add water as per needed.
- Now grind soaked batter in mixing jar and make smooth paste. Now add onion, coriander, salt, cumin seeds, black pepper powder and grated coconut. Mix well.
- Now pour batter on a nonstick towel. Make a hole in the middle. After 5 minutes, turn it over. Let it cook both sides.
- Now take it in a serving plate and serve it with coconut chutney.
